Tips on De-stressing Before your Wedding
December 16, 2008
Planning a wedding can be one the most exciting times in your life but it can also be extremely stressful too. You put in a lot of time into making sure that your wedding is perfect and goes off without any surprises.
Here we have some tips to help you de-stress and take control of yourself in one of the most important days of your life.
Take a break
If you are stressed and losing yourself take a break from all of the planning. Now if your wedding is a week away and you have deadlines to meet this may not be the time to take a few days off. In that case you may want to take a few hours to relax and have some ”YOU” time. On the other hand if your wedding is months away you should give yourself a week or two to relax with no planning what so ever. Enjoy time with your fiance without talking about the wedding. and rekindle that romance that may have been put aside because of the stress. Try taking a short trip out of town together and renew yourself as a whole and as a couple.

Hire a planner
This is what we do best. We handle all of the stress related areas for you. For example, if a vendor is being difficult then we will take care of the calls and it will be taken care of. We can also set up the appointment, keep you in budget, and possibly get you great deals. You get to enjoy the details of your wedding without all of the hassle of dealing with the problems that may arise.

Watch what you eat
During times of stress its very easy for us to find comfort in foods that are loaded with fat and no vitamins. This might help you in the moment but in the end these foods will leave you feeling tired and can make stressful times worse. Not to mention cause you to gain weight before the wedding. Try foods like fruits and vegetables that contain loads of vitamins and minerals. These foods will give you energy and help you cope with stressful areas that may come up in planning.

Get Help
Enlist the help of friends and family when you are stressing. They love you and would love to help with making decisions, running errands and planning. All you have to do is ask. Aside from that, if you need emotional support who better to talk to. They will be there to listen to your concern and reassure you that everything will be fine. Take a day to go to the spa with your girls. Between getting a massage and having laughs you are sure to feel better.

In the end don’t lose sight of what you are trying to accomplish. This is all leading up to one of the most important days of your life. You don’t want to lose it and fall apart at the finish line. If you relax your mind and body and get help when you feel you need it then you will do just fine and have a day that will leave you proud and accomplished in the end.
Writing your Wedding Vows
December 2, 2008
Nothing is more romantic than a bride or groom confessing their love to one another in front of their family and friends. However, coming up with what to say has perplexed many well meaning people. With a few tips, you can take what is in your heart and put into words.
First make a list of things that you love about your partner. This will help you remember what you want to include in your final copy.
Then make another list of things you promise to bring to the marriage. This could be anything from promising your support, your plans for handling arguments, or promising your faithfulness to them. Just anything that you promise to bring to the union.
You should have about 3 or 4 things listed that you love about them and 3 or 4 promises that you plan to make when you are finished. If you have more than that you may have to pick through them and prioritized your list a little. Make sure what is most important to you is included.
You then have to decide on your mood. Do you want your vows to be poetic and mushy? Humorous and entertaining? They should fit your personality but don’t forget to make them true and from the heart.
You must decide on a length of your vows also. Try nothing over 1 minute long. It’s nice to go on and on about the love you have for your partner, but after a while your guest could get uninterested and not pay attention. If there is more that you would wish to say maybe you could write a speech for the reception or wait for the honeymoon.
There are many ways that you can start writing. You can write about when you first realized that you were in love, how you see your future together, how your partner has inspired your life. The possibilities are endless when you put your mind to it.
Most all of us have our favorite romance movies and songs. Including a quote from them in your vows is a nice thought as long as you don’t go overboard with the lines or make it to cliché. ”You complete me” is really over used. Try turning the words around to fit you personally.
It’s nice to end your vows with the promises you have made and what you see for your future together.
Finally, read your vows to someone whose judgment you can trust. Does it sound like you? How does it sound read out loud? Make sure that you don’t say anything that will embarrass your partner.
When you are happy with your vows, make a fresh clean copy and be proud of yourself. You have just created something very special for your future spouse by putting what’s in your heart into words.
If you are still having trouble, think about working together. You might find it easier that way. A marriage is all about team work so you might as well start now.
Winter Wedding Dresses (Get the Look and the Warmth)
November 25, 2008
Most brides who get married in the cold months choose to wear gowns of the summer months. However, to stay warm and give yourself a classic look, you can just wear a shawl or wrap and still enjoy the strapless gowns that are so popular.
Winter Wedding Dress Styles
There are however some beautiful winter wedding dress styles to choose from as well. Many dresses come with long sleeves. You can find gowns made of thick satin or of white velvet. These gowns can have a more elegant and formal look to them. Also you might find a style with faux fur trim around the sleeves and collar. Either way you go, whether it be a slick strapless gown or long sleeved gown, make sure you are warm for your big day.
It’s no secret that strapless gowns are popular for brides. Because of that there is a larger supply of those styles. If you do happen to find a winter gown in a magazine or on a website you may want to call the store to see if they have it in stock. Most will order the gown for you if they don’t. Keep in mind however that if you order a gown online you need to be very careful. You won’t have the benefit of being able to see the dress in person, examine it for flaws, nor can you try it on. Make sure you’re able to return the dress within a certain amount of time, say thirty to sixty days, if it does have anything about it you don’t approve of.
You don’t have to try and look good while freezing on your wedding day. If you are planning to get married in the winter then pull off that winter look. Don’t forget to add that “ice” and wear lots of sparkly jewelry to set the mood. Remember it may be cold outside but you can be sure to look hot.

| The leaves are turning, the pumpkins are full and plump, and your wedding is getting closer with each day that passes. Look no farther for interesting decorating ideas for Fall. Let’s talk about the use of pumpkins: centerpieces made of pumpkins, using pumpkins as serving bowls, and that amazing pumpkin flavored wedding cake.First, let’s use our pumpkin as a homemade flower vase. It will be perfect to use as your centerpieces in the middle of your tables and sure to get a lot of praises. First you will need:
Pumpkins (of course)
A Cylindrical shaped container
Knife or pumpkin carving tools
Pen
Pumpkin scoop or spoon
Flower food
Water
Seasonal flowers
Pumpkin Flower Vase How-To 1. Put the cylindrical-shaped container on top of the pumpkin, to use as tracing guide. Using a pen, trace outside rim of container and score for a perfect fit. 2. Cut off the top of the pumpkin. 3. Scoop out the pulp on the inside with a pumpkin scoop or spoon. Discard pulp. 4. Place the cylindrical container inside the pumpkin to hold the flowers. 5. Pour water into the container and add flower food.(this is important to keep your flowers looking fresh and lasting through your reception) 6. Arrange a variety of seasonal flowers such as dahlias, mums, cockscombs, rose hips, and mini crab apples.(whatever fall flowers you have chosen for your decor)
Now you may want to use pumpkins as large serving bowls or maybe you would like to have them as individual bowls for your guest. Just cut the top off the pumpkin and you can make any design you want as you cut or just go straight around. Then scoop out the pulp and the seeds. Spray a light coating of non stick cooking spray inside the pumpkin, then place your pumpkin on a cookie sheet and bake it at 350* until the flesh of the pumpkin is tender to the the touch. (If you use it within half an hour out of the oven you will be able to keep your food warm) You can use your pumpkin bowls to hold soups, desserts, or really any kind of dish for your reception.
As far as a wedding cake, there is nothing taboo when it comes to flavors. Its all about what you and the grooms tastes are. When going for a fall theme the foods that you serve are what really what brings it all together. Think of the foods that you would find on your Thanksgiving table. The turkey, stuffing, potato dishes, and the pies. The foods that give you that warm comforting feeling. Why not bring your cake into that comfort zone. By having a pumpkin, carrot, or spice cake you will be tying in a meal that will not only leave your guest with a full stomach but at the then end of your exciting and busy day. It will leave you with a satisfied feeling.

Why hire a Wedding Consultant?
May 7, 2008
As a wedding consultant, I can say that my priority is to help turn your wedding day dreams into a reality. You can easily say “I’m planning my own wedding. I don’t think I need any help. Anyway, what can a Wedding Consultant do that I can’t do myself.”
Many Wedding Consulting have years of experience in planning weddings and other events. Have you ever been so stressed that it’s hard to make a decision? It is the job of Wedding Consultants to guide you through the entire process while you relax, enjoy your engagement, and WOW your guests!
Did you realize that the budget is the foundation of a wedding plan? As a Certified Wedding Consultant, we are here to help you determine your budget. Once establishing a budget, this will help with the selection of vendors. We are also experienced to negotiate the vendor fees while passing these savings on to you. With these savings, the Consultant fees are already within your budget.
As a little girl, did you ever make a veil to put on your head, put on your glass slippers, and your “dress- up” dress and walk “down the aisle” to meet your “Knight In Shining Armour?” Do you remember being STRESSED OUT, WORRYING IF THE LIMO WAS THERE IN TIME, IF THE GROOM GAVE YOUR RING TO HIS BEST MAN, IF THE FLORIST HAS ARRIVED WITH YOUR BOUQUET, IF THE BAKER HAS SET UP YOUR WEDDING CAKE, OR IF THE WEDDING PARTY WILL KNOW WHEN TO ENTER THE CEREMONY?———-I can answer this for you——NO!
So why not hire a Professional Wedding Consultant who is already in your wedding budget so that you may “re-live” that special moment; when ALL you did was “walk down the aisle” and meet your ”KNIGHT IN SHINING ARMOUR.”
